Adventure and Off-Road Riding Disclaimer

Welcome to RideMerge! Before downloading or sharing tracks, please carefully read and understand the following guidelines and safety recommendations:

Respect for Local Residents and Roads:

  • Be courteous and respectful to residents living along Class 6 roads in New Hampshire, Class 4 roads in Vermont, and other rural communities.
  • Respect maintained roads—avoid causing unnecessary damage. Do not use excessive throttle that could damage road surfaces.
  • Reduce your speed in settled or populated areas to minimize noise and enhance the safety of residents.
  • Always yield and stop completely for horses and horseback riders, as horses can be easily startled.
  • Slow down and be cautious when approaching dog walkers, hikers, cyclists, and other recreational users. Provide ample space and pass safely.

Track Sharing and Legal Compliance:

  • RideMerge does not review or validate tracks for legality or property ownership. Do not share or post tracks that cross private property without explicit permission.
  • Data provided by DOT imports is done so on a best-effort basis. If unsure about the status of any road or track, verify with local town offices before riding.
  • Adhere strictly to seasonal restrictions, including mud season limitations, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Safety Guidelines:

  • Ride responsibly and within your limits—"Ride your own ride."
  • Always use appropriate safety gear, including helmets, boots, protective clothing, and gloves.
  • Inspect your motorcycle thoroughly before every ride (tires, brakes, lights, and controls).
  • Riding alone is strongly discouraged. Ride with others whenever possible.
  • Carry basic tools, a first aid kit, water, and communication devices for emergency situations.
  • Inform someone not participating in the ride of your planned route and expected return time.

By using RideMerge to collect and share tracks, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with adventure and off-road motorcycle riding. You agree to follow these guidelines and act responsibly. RideMerge is not responsible for accidents, injuries, damages, or legal issues incurred while using shared tracks.

Thank you for your cooperation and ride safely!
